Sharing and Graduation

Orpha made this beautiful purple jacket (the front)

and the back
And she made this Wild Goose Chase quilt

Olga made this flying geese quilt from a previous semester

Nancy made this Daisy Quilt

And Nancy made this shadow applique table runner. Here is a close up of the embroidery machine quilting she did in the background. Isn't it gorgeous?! Embroidery machines can do so much more than traditional embroidery!

And the full view of Nancy's table runner

And my daughter, Elisia, graduated Thursday night from Mt Carmel High School. It was a beautiful ceremony and they even pronounced BOTH her names correctly! Her name is pronounced L-E-C-ah and of course there's always the difficult last name COO'-loam :-) We're very proud of her. She's off to Cal State Long Beach in the fall to study music performance. I will be an empty nester for sure!
Here's a picture from last night: Elisia and my husband, Pierre.
Less than 2 weeks until the summer semester starts! Get your sewing machines tuned up and ready for 8 quick and easy projects that will get you jump started on your holiday gift list!
