Missing?

Sorry that I haven't been blogging lately. I was slogging my way through the millions of tiny square dance blocks necessary to make this jacket. Okay, maybe not millions, but that's the way it felt! There's something mind numbing about doing the same thing over and over and over again...The blocks are done and the rough shapes are ready for the next step, quilting. Not all of my jackets are quilted, but this one will be. I haven't decided whether I'll use a metallic copper or a metallic turquoise, but it is definitely time to take a break from this project.

Do you ever find that during a long project you get really sick of it? I do and my solution is to take a break from that project. Otherwise I'm likely to slap it all together and call it done. It doesn't have to be quilted. I could just cut it out and assemble it, but I think quilting will enhance the design, making some of the "pinwheels" pop so I will wait.

Meanwhile I'm working on some quick and fun projects for the summer class at Bits and Pieces. Sorry I can't show them to you yet, but I will post pictures here as I teach them. Or maybe I'll see you in class, it's free!

Excellent colors. This will be such a nice jacket. I get tired of projects and have to take a break too. Otherwise I start making stupid mistakes that take hours to fix :-/

The jacket will look great when you finally get back to working on it. I'd like to see it quilted with the metallic copper.
