Here is the promised color picture of the guest towel that I taught last week. And here is a color picture of the book covers for this week. The paints I prefer are Dye-Na-Flow or Setacolor fabric paint by Pebeo. The Setacolor is available at Michael's.
I highly recommend shopping locally when possible, but if you can't find something of the surface embellishment genre I suggest you try the Dharma website: http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/1137-AA.shtml
As with the name Pat, I have more than one Sue in class so here is their sharing.
Sue's purple star blocks Sue's notebook cover
Sue's beach towel bag open
and closed
Sue's June project
Sue's May project
Sue's April project
It doesn't look like I'm going to have all 8 projects done for Tuesday. I have 5 done and 6 write-ups so far, plus I still need to put a syllabus together. This takes a loooong time to make this many new projects AND write directions!
I'm picking Pierre up at the airport tonight as he returns from Glacier National Park. I heard he saw a bear!
I'm sorry you can't really see the quilting in this. It is exquisite! Sherrie is a professional long arm quilter and she really outdid herself this time.
Sherrie's Snail's Trail quilt
Sherrie's Circles and Stars quilt
Sandra's miniature log cabin quilts (aren't they adorable?!)
Rene brought in this beautiful applique quilt to share
And this one, too!
Rene's bow tie blocks Rene's tote bag side one
and side two
Peggy's bargello quilt. I think this was made with a photo printed on fabric :-)
My last week of vacation and wouldn't you know, I've been plagued with a charming series of headaches. Maybe I just miss all of you too much! See you next week!
